KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Gen Z representative Sudan Gurung has announced a national campaign aimed at uniting young Nepalis and mobilizing them toward what he calls a movement for transformative change.

In a statement shared on social media, Gurung said organizational structures of the Gen Z network have already been established across all seven provinces, 77 districts, local levels and wards. He urged Nepalis from all walks of life to join what he described as an “alternative civilian force” dedicated to national interest rather than partisan loyalty.

“We need Nepalis who love the country, not the party,” he wrote, adding that a digital platform connecting citizens who seek change will be launched soon.

Gurung said the campaign is now entering its second phase, which aims to bring together public figures who have earned broad trust among citizens. He publicly called on several prominent personalities to stand on a common platform, including Harka Sampang, Balen Shah, Rabi Lamichhane, Kulman Ghising, Sumana Shrestha and Sagar Dhakal.

According to Gurung, the campaign will formally begin from Gorkha Temple, symbolically linking the initiative to Nepal’s historic unification. “As Nepal was built through a journey of unity that began in Gorkha, we will start this campaign from the same place, seeking blessings for the nation’s future and the next generation,” he stated.
