KATHMANDU, July 20: The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment has announced that 1,250 metric tons of DAP chemical fertilizer will arrive in Nepal today.

A total of 30,000 metric tons of DAP fertilizer procured through a global tender arrived at India's Kolkata Port on July 10. Of this, 1,250 metric tons were dispatched to Nepal on July 17.
The remaining fertilizer is currently being packaged (bagged) at Kolkata Port. According to the Secretariat of the Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Environment, it will be transported to Nepal in phases once the packaging is completed.
