KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Police have detained 138 individuals from the Pashupati area.
According to SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai of Kathmandu District Police, the detentions were made during Maha Shivaratri for unruly activities in the Pashupati area.

The police said those detained were involved in pickpocketing, unruly behavior, pushing, and marijuana use.
Security forces were deployed in large numbers to maintain order in the Pashupati area during Shivaratri. Crowds of devotees have been gathering in the area since early Sunday morning.
