KATHMANDU, Sept 6: TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj received 244 dead bodies as part of the management following the catastrophic Bhotekoshi flash flood that occurred on August 26.
Among these, 161 dead bodies have been managed temporarily, according to chief of Forensic Lab at the hospital, Dr Gopal Chaudhary. Similarly, 24 of the dead bodies were identified and handed over to the respective families for final rites, he added.

Currently, 59 bodies in the hospital are left for postmortem before temporary management, the hospital source said.
