17 injured as bus plunges 60 metres off road in Baitadi

The bus (Su Pra 01-001 Kha 3963) was travelling from Dhangadhi to Baitadi when it met with the accident at Gairakhan in Patan Municipality-8.

KATHMANDU, July 3: At least 17 people were injured after a passenger bus veered off the road and plunged around 60 metres in Baitadi district on Friday afternoon.



The bus (Su Pra 01-001 Kha 3963) was travelling from Dhangadhi to Baitadi when it met with the accident at Gairakhan in Patan Municipality-8.

Police said all the injured were rescued and sent to Dadeldhura Hospital for treatment.


The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and further investigation is underway, according to Baitadi Police.
