SURKHET, July 22: At least 19 people were injured, three of them critically, after a microbus overturned on a road in Surkhet on Tuesday.
According to police, the microbus (registration number Ka Pra 02001 Kha 0490) was travelling from Simta to Gumi when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn at Seraghari in Gurbhakot Municipality-13.

The microbus, driven by 43-year-old Gagan Thapa, a resident of Seraghari, was carrying 20 people, including the driver.
Police said 19 passengers sustained injuries in the accident. They were rescued and rushed to different hospitals for treatment, with three reported to be in critical condition.
The damaged microbus remains at the accident site. Police have taken the driver into custody and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
