2,102 individuals booked for traffic violations, generating Rs 2.11 million in 24 hours

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 89 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol, 108 for operating ride-sharing services in violation of regulations, 99 for violating traffic signals and 83 for speeding.

KATHMANDU, June 27: A total of 2,102 vehicle operators were penalized for violating traffic rules in the past 24 hours, generating Rs 2.11 million in revenue for the state treasury.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 89 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol, 108 for operating ride-sharing services in violation of regulations, 99 for violating traffic signals and 83 for speeding.


Similarly, 59 drivers were penalized for violating lane discipline, 100 for honking in prohibited areas, two for driving under the influence of drugs, 78 for driving on one-way roads and 1,484 for other traffic violations.
