Surkhet, Feb 8: Police have taken 25 youths into custody in Birendranagar of Surkhet for allegedly creating disturbances and spreading fear through a motorcycle rally.
The police said members of a group calling itself ‘Khatarnak Khopadi’ or ‘The Dangerous Skull’ were arrested for activities that disrupted public peace and order and posed risks to election security.

They were detained while riding motorcycles through the Birendranagar market area, shouting slogans and creating noise while carrying black and white flags.
The group was stopped around 2 pm on Saturday while heading from Dhuliyabit in Birendranagar Municipality, Ward No. 11, toward Trikune Chowk.
A joint team of 30 personnel from the District Police Office, Surkhet, and the municipal police took control of eight motorcycles and four scooters used by the group.
The arrested youths are currently being held at the District Police Office, Surkhet.
Police said further investigation is underway into charges related to offenses against public peace and security concerns.
