KATHMANDU, Sept 6: A total of 87,877 LPG gas cylinders have been refilled and transported to Kathmandu through alternative routes after a landslide at Krishnabhir in Dhading blocked the Prithvi Highway, according to the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC).
The NOC said LPG cylinders are being refilled at various industries in the Terai and transported to Kathmandu for distribution in the market.

According to the corporation, cylinders belonging to gas industries in Kathmandu, Dhading and Kavrepalanchok are being sent to industries in Bara, Parsa, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Dhanusha and Mahottari for refilling before being transported to Kathmandu via alternative routes for distribution.
The NOC said a total of 87,877 LPG cylinders were refilled and brought to Kathmandu over three days (September 3–5).
Of these, 24,494 cylinders were brought to Kathmandu on September 3, 34,134 on September 4, and 29,249 on September 5, and distributed in the market, according to the corporation.
The NOC said the alternative arrangement will remain in place until the Krishnabhir section of the Prithvi Highway resumes regular operation.
