KATHMANDU, March 20: Nepal Gen Z Front has strongly condemned the abuse directed at their coordinator and activist Raksha Bam.
In a statement released Friday, the Front called the treatment of their coordinator during a peaceful demonstration “unacceptable.” The statement highlighted that such incidents against protesters exercising their constitutionally guaranteed rights to assemble and express opinions contradict democratic values.

On Thursday at Maitighar Mandal, activist Sarisma publicly criticized Coordinator Bam, raising questions about her ties with the Home Minister, leadership and political influence.
Gen-Z Front and affiliated groups have been staging continuous peaceful protests at Maitighar, demanding the public release of the investigation report on the events of September 8 and 9. The organization stated that releasing the report is a responsibility owed to the martyrs and the injured.
While recognizing that disagreements and questions naturally arise during movements, the statement emphasized that abuse among activists is inappropriate. It stressed that answers to such questions should be sought from the state, not among protesters themselves.
The organization described Raksha Bam as an active, committed, and principled leader since the movement’s inception, warning that mistreatment of her could weaken the movement.
