KATHMANDU, July 4: Several noted artists and filmmakers have signed a petition in support of former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in Bhairahawa prison over a cooperative fraud case.
As part of the ongoing signature collection campaign launched by Lamichhane’s Rastriya Swatantra Party, prominent figures including Ramchandra Adhikari, Rajaram Paudel, Khem Century, Khagendra Lamichhane, Ashok Sharma and Dipendra K. Khanal signed the petition on Friday at Ghantaghar and Baneshwor.

Earlier, artists Ramesh Upreti and Bipin Adhikari had signed the appeal. The campaign follows Lamichhane’s 20-page public statement issued on June 21, urging public support.
