Bagmati Province leaves unchanged the vehicle taxes for the next FY

KATHMANDU, June 26: Bagmati Province has left the annual renewal tax of vehicles unchanged for the fiscal year (FY) 2025/26.



While endorsing the budget for the next fiscal year, the provincial government has given continuation to the annual tax rates being imposed on the vehicles. Depending on the engine capacities, the tax rates of four-wheelers range between Rs 22,000 and Rs 70,000 per annum.

In Bagmati Province, a four-wheeler of up to 1,000 cc is slapped with a tax of Rs 22,000 annually. Likewise, the owner of a four-wheeler of 3,500 cc and above is needed to pay Rs 70,000 per annum.


Similarly, the tax rates of two-wheelers are subjected to pay taxes between Rs 3,000 and Rs 35,000 per annum. The motorbike of up to 125 cc engine capacity is taxed Rs 3,000, while those falling in the category of 2,650 cc and above have to pay annual tax of Rs 35,000.
