KATHMANDU, July 10: CPN-UML Chief Whip Ain Mahar on Friday accused the Balendra Shah (Balen)-led government of pursuing policies that endanger people's lives, holding it primarily responsible for the death of 25-year-old Ganesh Nepali of Mugu.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) , Mahar said the "Balen government" was responsible for Nepali's death.

"The Balen government is responsible for this death. Instead of working for the people and ensuring their well-being, the Balen government is moving in a direction that is killing the people," he said.
Mahar also criticized the government and Minister for Home Sudan Gurung, accusing them of focusing on publicity rather than addressing people's problems.
"Yesterday, people kept saying the home minister came and stayed there throughout the night. The government must stop these publicity stunts. It should end this culture of showmanship," he said.
Maintaining that the government bore primary responsibility for the incident, Mahar also raised slogans against the government inside the HoR.
