KATHMANDU, March 4: Minister for Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said the ballot box security lies with the polling officers.
In a video message released on the eve of voting, he claimed that full security has been ensured across the country and emphasized that the responsibility of ballot boxes lies with the polling officers.

“The ballot papers have been delivered from Kathmandu to the election constituency offices. From there, polling officers will carry ballot boxes to the polling stations. After voting, polling officers will place the ballot boxes securely in vehicles and transport them back to the office,” he said.
“The vehicles carrying ballot boxes will be secured by escort vehicles from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and other security agencies. If necessary, Nepal Army vehicles may also be used for escorting,” he added.
Minister Aryal also warned of legal action against anyone attempting to disrupt the election process. He further urged voters to cast their votes confidently, stating that the election will be conducted in a free, fair, and secure environment.
