KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal Shafiqur Rahman has called for promoting the “Made in Bangladesh” brand globally by offering competitive and quality products and services.
Speaking at Walton’s Global Distributors Meet held in Kathmandu on Sunday, Rahman also called for expanding Walton’s distribution, sales and after-sales service network in Nepal, according to a press release issued by the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu.

He praised Thapa Group for partnering with Walton in Nepal since 2010 and stressed the need to develop products suited to Nepali consumers and strengthen ties with local distributors and retailers.
Recalling his visit to Walton’s industrial base, Rahman said he was impressed by the company’s focus on manufacturing excellence, innovation and quality. He said Walton’s international expansion was helping strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global electronics industry and diversify its export basket.
The ambassador also expressed the embassy’s readiness to support Walton’s business expansion in Nepal and beyond.
The event brought together around 300 sales representatives from Bangladesh and Nepal and featured cultural performances, a presentation on Walton Plaza and a video presentation on the Nepal tour.
The meet was organized to recognize and reward high-performing Walton sales representatives from Bangladesh, who were brought to Nepal as part of a tour celebrating their performance, according to the press release.
