Cabinet appoints Suraj Shakya as KVDA commissioner, approves three regulations

The government has appointed Suraj Shakya as the commissioner of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority. A Cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday also approved three new regulations.

KATHMANDU, July 8: The government has appointed Suraj Shakya as the commissioner of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority. A Cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday also approved three new regulations.



Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel said the Cabinet also approved the operation of Geta Hospital as the teaching hospital of Shahid Dasharath Chand Health Sciences University.

The meeting endorsed the Foreign Academic Program (Operation and Regulation) Regulations, the Educational Consultancy, Language Training and Preparatory Classes (Operation and Management) Regulations, and the Prison Regulations.


The Cabinet also approved the Sixth National Human Rights Action Plan and the Second National Strategic Plan Against Corruption, according to the government spokesperson.
