Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Rajesh Panthi said vehicle movement has been halted on Monday and Tuesday for a technical test to determine whether the Bailey bridge can support vehicles during the upcoming monsoon season.

However, local residents and passengers traveling to Mansarovar Kailash will not face any inconvenience, CDO Panthi clarified.

According to officials, Chinese security personnel have restricted only cargo vehicles entering Kerung from Nepal and those entering Nepal from Kerung.

Inspector at the Timure Area Police Office Bikram Kunwar said vehicle movement will resume as usual after the technical inspection of the bridge is completed.
