KATHMANDU, April 27: The Government of the Czech Republic has extended a congratulatory message to Nepal’s newly appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Shishir Khanal, reaffirming the cordial ties between the two countries.
According to a press statement, Petr Macinka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, conveyed his message through the Czech Embassy in New Delhi, extending warm wishes on Khanal’s appointment.
The message underscores the importance of continued cooperation and mutual respect, reflecting the longstanding friendly relations between Nepal and the Czech Republic and their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

Responding to the message, Nepal welcomed the gesture. “We warmly appreciate the congratulatory message extended by H.E. Petr Macinka to Shishir Khanal on his appointment. This reflects the strong and respectful bilateral relations between Nepal and the Czech Republic,” said Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, Honorary Consul General of the Czech Republic to Nepal.
Nepal and the Czech Republic have maintained cordial relations over the years, and the latest exchange is expected to add momentum to bilateral engagement.
Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, who has been serving as the Honorary Consul General of the Czech Republic to Nepal since 2010, also expressed confidence that relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen.
