KATHMANDU, May 27: Action has been recommended against 10 security personnel, including a Superintendent of Police, over the incident of the death of a detainee under police custody of the Area Police Office, Khurkot, in Sindhuli.
A probe committee formed under the coordination of Deputy Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Acharya to investigate the case of the death of Srikrishna BK, 23, of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-3 in Sindhuli, recommended action against them.

According to Central Police News Room, the committee has recommended reprimanding a police personnel, drawing the attention of two police personnel, relieving five police personnel from responsibility with a warning, counseling one police person and demoting one police person.
The committee has also made recommendations to prioritise the safety of persons in custody while fully implementing the Custody Management Operational Guidelines, 2081 BS.
