Deepal opens new showroom in Maharajgunj, delivers 20 EVs on first day

The company has also appointed Apollo Motors as its new dealer, a move it said will help make Deepal's global-standard electric vehicles more accessible to customers in Nepal.

KATHMANDU, June 26 : MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the authorized distributor of futuristic and intelligent electric vehicle brand Deepal in Nepal, has expanded its presence in the capital city by opening a new state-of-the-art showroom in Maharajgunj.



The company has also appointed Apollo Motors as its new dealer, a move it said will help make Deepal's global-standard electric vehicles more accessible to customers in Nepal.


The new showroom was jointly inaugurated by Deepal brand ambassador Paras Khadka, MAW Vriddhi Chairman Bishnu Agarwal, Nepal Republic Media founder Binod Raj Gyawali, immediate past president of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal Shova Gyawali, and MAW Vriddhi Managing Director Vivek Sikaria.

Speaking at the inauguration, MAW Vriddhi Chairman Vishnu Agrawal said Nepal's electric vehicle market has reached an exciting stage of growth, with Deepal playing a leading role in the ongoing transformation.


"Deepal has every potential to become a legacy brand, and MAW is committed to establishing it as a brand that will endure for decades," he said. Agarwal also said the company plans to expand its network of showrooms and service centers in different cities to meet growing customer demand.


Adding a futuristic touch to the event, the inauguration featured advanced humanoid robots and robotic dolls, giving guests a firsthand experience of Changan's vision for artificial intelligence and automation.


Apollo Motors Director Suyash Gyawali said the company was delighted to become Deepal's authorized dealer in Kathmandu.


"This is not just a car showroom; it is also a destination where customers can experience Deepal's aspirational range of electric vehicles," he said.


On the opening day itself, the company delivered 20 Deepal electric vehicles to customers. Deepal brand ambassador Paras Khadka, MAW Vriddhi Chairman Vishnu Agrawal and Nepal Republic Media founder Binod Raj Gyawali handed over the vehicle keys to the new owners during the ceremony.
