KATHMANDU, July 6: Police have arrested an education officer at the Ministry of Defence for allegedly exposing himself to a woman in a public place in Imadol, Lalitpur.
The suspect, Surendra Bhatta, 55, of Patan Municipality-7, Baitadi, currently residing in Mahalaxmi Municipality-2, Imadol, was taken into custody by a team of police from the Satdobato Police Circle after a video of the incident circulated on social media.

According to police, the woman recorded the alleged incident and shared the video online, prompting an investigation. Officers later identified Bhatta and arrested him.
Preliminary investigation confirmed that Bhatta serves as an education officer at the Ministry of Defence, police said. He has been remanded to police custody, and further investigation is underway under the relevant provisions of the National Penal Code, police said.
