BIRGUNJ, July 6: The Road Division Office, Hetauda, resumed its demolition drive in Birgunj on Monday morning, deploying excavators under tight security to remove structures encroaching on the road.
Heavy equipment and security personnel were mobilized to demolish buildings along the Gandak–Power House Chowk road section.

The demolition drive was suspended on Friday after affected residents staged protests, forcing the Road Division Office to halt the operation.
The office resumed the drive early Monday, using excavators and a grader to clear the road corridor under heightened security.
