KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Former prime minister and former Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba is returning to Nepal on Thursday, six months after leaving the country for medical treatment.
The rival faction within the NC is preparing to welcome Deuba at Tribhuvan International Airport with traditional music and a cultural procession.

According to NC leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Deuba is scheduled to land in Kathmandu at around 12:30 PM on Thursday.
After returning home, Deuba will attend a national gathering of the opposition faction at Miracle Party Palace in Sukedhara on Friday.
Deuba was injured in a physical attack during the Gen Z movement and left for Singapore on a Singapore Airlines flight on the night of February 25. He later travelled from Singapore to Hong Kong for further treatment.
