KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Dirghayukumar Shrestha has been appointed managing director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

A Cabinet meeting held on Friday appointed Shrestha, who had been serving as acting managing director, to the position.
The government had earlier removed Hitendra Dev Shakya through an ordinance. Following Shakya’s removal, Shrestha had been serving as acting managing director.
