DoMLI orders Deuba’s son Jaybir to appear within seven days

KATHMANDU, July 7: The Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DoMLI) has ordered Jaybir Deuba, son of former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, to appear before investigators within seven days in connection with an ongoing money laundering probe.

According to the notice, Jaybir has been summoned for questioning as part of the department's investigation. Officials have also pasted the notice at the Deuba family's residence in Budhanilkantha.


The department had previously summoned Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife, Arzu Deuba. The couple informed investigators that they would appear before the department by the end of Shrawan, which falls around August 15.
