KATHMANDU, May 26: Dr Krishna Giri has been appointed vice-chairperson of the Medical Education Commission (MEC).
The MEC Chair assigned Dr Giri the responsibility on Monday.

Following the introduction of an ordinance related to the removal of public office holders, Vice-chairperson Dr Anjani Kumar Jha and other officials were relieved of their positions.
Dr Jha was the first vice-chairperson of the MEC after its establishment and had completed a four-year term before stepping down.
