KATHMANDU, June 19: The government has appointed Dr Gopal Prasad Bhatt as the Chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).
The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting held on Friday.

The appointment fills a long-vacant leadership position at the country’s capital market regulator, which had remained without a chairperson for an extended period.
With this decision, Dr Bhatta is now set to lead the Securities Board of Nepal going forward.
