KATHMANDU, July 21: A driver died after becoming trapped inside a private car that caught fire in Tyanglaphat, Kirtipur, on Tuesday morning, police said.
According to police, the fire broke out at around 11:30 am in a car bearing registration number Ba 5 Cha 3038. The driver was unable to escape and died inside the vehicle.

Local residents and police rushed to the scene and attempted to extinguish the fire after receiving information about the incident.
The identity of the deceased has yet to be established. Police said the cause of the fire remains unknown and that an investigation is underway.
