KATHMANDU, June 6: The Ministry of Finance has expressed serious concern over what it described as misinformation and attempts to tarnish the image of Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle in connection with allegations of irregularities in the clearance of 779 electric vehicles (EVs).

In a statement issued by Press Adviser Naveen Dhungana, the ministry clarified that nine customs officials, including the chief customs officer at Rasuwagadhi, were relieved of their duties and transferred to the Department of Customs on June 3, following recommendations from a government-formed probe committee.
