KATHMANDU, Oct 26: The government has promoted five Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to the post of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police.

According to a notice issued by the Promotion Committee Secretariat under the Home Ministry on Sunday evening, the SSPs promoted to the post of DIG include Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri, Sanu Ram Bhattarai, Om Prasad Adhikari, Shekhar Khanal, and Abi Narayan Kafle. The Promotion Committee, headed by the Home Secretary, had earlier recommended their names for promotion.
