KATHMANDU, April 9: The 60th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and its leadership election have been temporarily halted.
A joint bench of Patan High Court judges Khadka Bahadur KC and Deepak Khanal issued an interim order in response to a petition, suspending the meeting and election.
51st AGM of FNCCI begins today
On April 5, members including the Federation of Nepal Petroleum Transport Entrepreneurs had filed a writ seeking to stop the election. The petition named FNCCI, its Executive Committee, Membership Committee, and Election Committee as respondents.
Previously, on April 6, a single bench of Judge Swikriti Parajuli had issued a “show cause” order along with a short-term interim order, which was extended Thursday through the latest interim order.
