Footprints for Animals to cross roads in Lalitpur (With photos)

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City and Sneha’s Care, an organization working for animal welfare has started imprinting animal paws commonly known as ‘Paw Prints’ to raise awareness about the protection of stray animals from Friday morning.

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City and Sneha’s Care, an organization working for animal welfare has started imprinting animal paws commonly known as ‘Paw Prints’ to raise awareness about the protection of stray animals from Friday morning.

Kick-starting the campaign from Friday, paw prints are being installed in zebra crossings across the LMC which was inaugurated by the Mayor of LMC, Chiribabu Maharjan. 


According to the records of Sneha’s Care, about 25-30 incidents of hit-and-run cases of strayed animals including dogs, calves, cows, and other animals are recorded and rescued on a monthly basis.
