KATHMANDU, June 4: Shisir Khanal is set to pay an official visit to India from June 5 to 7, 2026, at the cordial invitation of India’s External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, Khanal will hold a formal meeting with Jaishankar in New Delhi. The two sides are expected to discuss a wide range of matters of mutual interest, with a focus on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, energy, and people-to-people ties.

The Ministry said the visit, as part of the regular exchange of high-level engagements between the two neighbours, will further consolidate the longstanding and multifaceted bilateral relations between Nepal and India. Nepal
Foreign Minister Khanal is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on June 7.
The visit comes at a time when ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane is also on an ongoing visit to India, adding a broader political context to the recent high-level exchanges between Kathmandu and New Delhi.
