Former ANFA President Sherpa arrested over fund embezzlement

KATHMANDU, June 27: Police arrested former President of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Karma Tsering Sherpa, on Friday evening.



A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Sherpa in Kathmandu in connection with fraud and criminal breach of trust.

CIB Spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Anup Shumsher JB Rana said Sherpa was arrested for investigation into allegations of embezzling Rs 87.8 million from Tungaram International Academy, located in Hattigauda.


Sherpa is also accused of taking undue benefits and causing financial losses to the school while serving as its executive head.
