KATHMANDU, July 14: Former Secretary Jibgar Joshi passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76. He had been suffering from a heart-related ailment for some time.
A resident of Tahachal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-13, Joshi was one of Nepal's leading urban planners, sustainable development experts and regional planning specialists. During his career, he served as Secretary at the Ministry of Urban Development and as Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Environment. Most recently, he was affiliated with the School of Environmental Management under Pokhara University.
Wife of late Centenarian Satya Mohan Joshi passes away
Former Secretary Joshi authored several books, including Urban Planning in Nepal, Housing and Urban Development in Nepal, and Regional Strategies for Sustainable Development in Nepal.
