KATHMANDU, July 23: Police have arrested Mrigendra Nath Rimal, former chief executive officer of Nepal Micro Insurance, in connection with an ongoing investigation involving businessman Dipak Bhatt.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Rimal in Sifal area of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7 on Thursday.

According to police, Rimal was detained during an investigation into a case filed against Bhatt under the Insurance Act, 2022 and the Securities Act, 2007 after investigators found alleged links between the two.
The CIB produced Rimal before the Kathmandu District Court on Thursday and is seeking permission to keep him in judicial custody for further investigation.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and that additional evidence is being collected.
