KATHMANDU, March 28: CPN-UML Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been arrested. A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended him from his residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur.
Police had reached Oli’s residence in Gundu during the night to carry out the arrest.

The arrest comes after the newly formed government led by PM Balendra Shah (Balen), in its first cabinet meeting, decided to implement the report prepared by the probe commission led by former Special Court Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki.
Following the decision, Home Minister Sudan Gurung held continuous discussions with the heads of security agencies throughout the night.
