KATHMANDU, July 26: At least four people were killed and 124 others injured in road accidents across Nepal over the past 24 hours, according to Nepal Police.
Police data show that the highest number of injuries was reported in the Kathmandu Valley, where a total of 32 people were injured. Koshi Province recorded 27 injuries, followed by Lumbini with 21, Madhesh with 20, Sudurpaschim with 13, Karnali with six, and Bagmati with five.
Of the four fatalities, two were reported in Lumbini Province, while one death each occurred in Madhesh and Koshi provinces.
When will it end?
According to police, a 72-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck in Siraha. In Bara, a 25-year-old man who was injured in a motorcycle crash died during treatment.
In Kapilvastu, two people—the motorcycle rider and a pillion passenger—were killed when a bus collided with their motorcycle, police said.
