KATHMANDU, April 19: At least four people died after a jeep carrying wedding guests met with an accident in Salyan.

The incident occurred in Puthala of Bangad Kupinde Municipality when a jeep en route from Ward No. 8 to Laxmipur in Kalimati lost control and crashed, according to the District Police Office.
All four victims were residents of Ward No. 8 of the same municipality. The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Top Bahadur Thapa, 50-year-old Thage Gharti, 29-year-old Karna Bahadur Pun, and 30-year-old Man Bahadur Thapa.
A total of 18 people were on board the vehicle. Fourteen others were injured in the accident and have been rescued and sent to Mehelkuna Hospital in Surkhet for treatment.
