KATHMANDU, July 30: The weather is likely to remain generally cloudy throughout the country today and there is a chance of light to moderate rain at some places in the Himalayan region, the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated.
It stated that light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at many places in the hilly region and there is also a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the Tarai of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places in Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces.

There is a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces and at one or two places of the hilly regions in Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
