Gold prices drop sharply by Rs 12,500 per tola

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has been fixed at Rs 282,000 per tola. Previously, gold was being traded at Rs 294,500 per tola, marking a sharp drop of Rs 12,500 per tola.

KATHMANDU, March 22: Gold and silver prices saw a significant decline in the Nepali market on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.



According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has been fixed at Rs 282,000 per tola. Previously, gold was being traded at Rs 294,500 per tola, marking a sharp drop of Rs 12,500 per tola.

Silver prices have also decreased notably. The federation set the price of silver at Rs 4,540 per tola, down from the previous rate of Rs 4,895. This reflects a decline of Rs 355 per tola compared to the last trading price.
