According to him, the directive follows a decision by the coordination committee formed to ensure effective treatment and support for the injured. The committee has set a deadline of February 27 for the submission of all injury records.

Dr Budhathoki said that the data should include listing and classification of the injured, to be completed between February 22 and February 27. Applications received by the deadline will be verified, and a final list of the injured will be made public.

So far, classification details of only 200 injured individuals have been submitted. The spokesperson noted that although many were injured during the protests, some with minor injuries may not have come forward, as they are not eligible for certain benefits.

The government has decided to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 9,000 for caretakers and those with severe injuries, Rs 9,000 for seriously injured individuals, and Rs 4,000 for those with moderate injuries. According to ministry records, a total of 2,599 people were injured during the Gen Z movement protests.
