Deepa Dahal, press and research expert at the Prime Minister’s Office, said through this portal, all Nepali citizens, subject experts and policy makers staying inside the country and abroad can directly give their opinions and suggestions on budget formulation and development priorities. “The initiative will outdo the limit of the government's policy-making process to just the administrative circle.”

Dahal said that a special facility to 'track suggestions' has been included in this system so that people can get information about the latest status of their suggestions given on the portal and the steps taken by the government. “The use of this portal is also expected to establish a new practice of good governance by bridging the gap between the citizen and the state,” she added.
