KATHMANDU, June 19: The government has made public 150 decisions taken by Cabinet meetings held over different dates in the months of Baisakh and Jestha (mid-April to mid-June).
Government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel announced the decisions during a press briefing held at the ministry on Friday.
Govt withholds cabinet decisions, again
According to Minister Pokharel, the Cabinet meeting held on June 12 approved the expansion of license capacity for the National Identity Management System (ABIS). The meeting also approved an extension for providing land compensation to the Mid-Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project for the use of forest land.
Earlier, the Cabinet meeting on June 9 had taken 16 decisions, including approval of the standards for recommending an Executive Director for the Nepal Administrative Staff College for 2083.
On June 2, the Cabinet decided to form a recommendation committee led by the Home Secretary for appointing the Executive Chief of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority. The meeting also approved an order prohibiting strikes in essential services.
Similarly, on May 19, the Cabinet approved the Civil Service Welfare Fund (First Amendment) Rules, 2083. It also approved 977 posts under the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene, along with the Land Act (21st Amendment) Rules, 2083 and the Children Act (First Amendment) Rules, 2083.
