Govt projects economic growth of seven percent next FY

In the budget announcement for the upcoming fiscal year, Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle said that the targeted economic growth rate is 1.8 times more than the amount estimated for this FY. According to the National Statistics Office, the economic growth rate in the current fiscal year 2025/56 will be 3.85 percent.

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has set a target of achieving an economic growth rate of seven percent for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.
