KATHMANDU, May 21 : Guna Raj Luitel has formally bid farewell as the Editor-in-Chief of Nagarik Daily, published by Nepal Republic Media.
In a programme held at the company’s headquarters in Sundhara on Thursday, Nepal Republic Media founder Binod Raj Gyawali officially bade farewell to Luitel, praising his editorial leadership and noting that he successfully guided the publication through a challenging phase of its journey.

Gyawali said Luitel had requested to step down in order to support the leadership transition and promote younger leadership within the organisation, a move he said he supported.
Luitel, reflecting on his tenure, said he had always worked with the intention of serving only a limited period and appreciated the support received from the organisation and colleagues in strengthening the publication.
Following his departure, Nepal Republic Media has appointed Balkrishna Adhikari as the new editor of Nagarik Daily. Adhikari said he would work with all colleagues to further strengthen the publication and take it forward.
