KATHMANDU, March 29: Harka Sampang, chair of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has called for daily alcohol and drug tests for all government ministers, including the prime minister.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Sampang said ministers should undergo routine checks for both alcohol consumption and drug use. Because apparently running a country now also requires passing a daily sobriety test like it’s some kind of bureaucratic driving license exam.

“Regular testing for alcohol (māapse) and drugs (lāapse) must be conducted for all ministers, including the prime minister,” he wrote.
Stating that such measures are essential for the nation’s well-being, Sampang also demanded that members of parliament be subjected to similar checks.
