MAKWANPUR, June 25: The Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City has unveiled a budget of Rs 2.85 billion for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026/27.
The Deputy Mayor of the sub-metropolis presented the budget in the 19th municipal council session on Wednesday. The municipal council assembly passed the budget unanimously.
What is missing in budget for agriculture?
As mentioned in the budget, the municipal assembly approved spending Rs 573 million from internal sources, Rs 992.48 million from revenue sharing, Rs 100 million from various grants of the Bagmati provincial government, and Rs 1.184 billion from the federal government on Hetauda's physical infrastructure development.
On the occasion, Meena Lama, the Mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, said that the budget will be implemented fairly in providing drinking water, roads, electrification, healthcare, expanding the tourism sector, improving the quality of higher education, encouraging girls to pursue education, and constructing physical infrastructure in some remote wards of Hetauda city.
Mayor Lama had presented the sub-metropolis's annual policies and programmes for the year 2026/27.
