KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has urged all citizens living along the banks of the Bhotekoshi, Trishuli, and Narayani rivers to stay highly alert.
The NDRRMA issued a statement today requesting everyone to stay on high alert until further notice as a large flood has entered the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa from the Tibet side.

"We request households living in riverbank areas of Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Chitwan, and Tanahun districts to move to safe places and to contact the toll-free number 100, 1234, and 1114 if there is a need for search and rescue or any assistance," the NDRRMA said.
Also, the authority has requested the local levels and administration to restrict vehicles from operating on the Prithvi Highway, Galchhi–Nuwakot–Rasuwa–Syafrubesi road, and Muglin–Narayangadh road, and to completely stop vehicular traffic in these areas. The authority has also appealed to everyone concerned to coordinate, assist, and facilitate search, rescue, and relief efforts after the disaster.
