KATHMANDU, July 27: A new campus building constructed with financial assistance from the Government of India has been inaugurated at Kedar Surya Multiple Campus in Badikedar Rural Municipality of Doti under the High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), according to a press release issued by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.
The Embassy said the two-storey building, comprising seven rooms on each floor along with allied facilities, was jointly inaugurated by Basist Nandan, First Secretary at the Indian Embassy, and Bhairav Bahadur Saud, Chairperson of Badikedar Rural Municipality.

According to the press release, the project was implemented through the Badikedar Rural Municipality. The campus, affiliated with Tribhuvan University, offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) programmes.
The Embassy stated that local representatives, the campus management and other stakeholders welcomed the project, saying the new infrastructure would help strengthen educational facilities in the region.
The press release also said that India has undertaken nearly 600 high-impact community development projects across 74 districts in all seven provinces of Nepal. Of these, 47 projects are located in Sudurpaschim Province, including four in Doti. In addition, India has provided 78 ambulances and 40 school buses to health and educational institutions in Sudurpaschim Province, including nine ambulances and three school buses in Doti.
According to the Embassy, the HICDP programme reflects the continued development partnership between Nepal and India and supports Nepal's efforts to strengthen infrastructure and promote socio-economic development.
